My name is Hannes Kleindienst, I am running a small geo-informatics company in Innsbruck, Austria, GRID-IT Ltd. (see also Michael Fecht?).

I first came in touch with ZOPE while working in Switzerland a couple of years ago. After some smaller applications, the development of the Swiss Environmental Catalogue envirocat was one of the first larger projects, I did with ZOPE. As a result of this project, IRMI was born, a PostgreSQL based multi-lingual content management system, which we (at GRID-IT extended during the last 18 months to include GIS and mapping functionality.

PCL and ZCO are obviously our choice for the mapping features, and since we heavily rely on PostGIS, the development of a user-defined PostGIS data store was our first contribution to the PCL/ZCO development.
