There are different levels of involvement, and we appreciate all of them.

User -- Participate in discussions, report bugs, test fixes, and contribute patches. All it takes is subscription to the CommunityList.

Contributor -- Active and interested users may be promoted by the consensus of other contributors, and become wiki authors.

Developer -- Active and interested contributors may be given the privileges to commit to the project repository, and vote on development issues. Again this depends on consensus of current developers.

Administrator -- This is just enough folks to keep all the sites and services running. The Administrators will manage contributor and developer privileges. Initially, Sean Gillies and Kai Lautaportti are the project admins.

This is pretty much it for project governance, we're going to rely on consensus and meritocracy.

Contact admin at gispython dot org to get started as a contributor. We'll set you up with credentials to use in the wikis.
